Kami mula dari Masjid Sheikh Lotfollah. Tapi ada setengah-setengah dari kami tak nak masuk. Rugi katanya. Tak hapus. Tapi pada kami yang masuk, tak masuk itulah rugi. Sebab dah sampai jauh-jauh.

Fakad dan iwan.

Masjid ini yang paling awal dibina antara tiga monumen di medan ini. Dekat 20 tahun juga baru siap. Maklumlah nak pasang jubin dan mozek sekeping-sekeping bukan sekejap. Kalau tak sabit kubahnya yang menonjol dan fakadnya -mukaan- maka orang tak akan sedar itulah masjid. Sebab ia tak ada menara dan bersambung langsung dengan bazar di kiri kanan.

Untuk pengetahuan semua surau -bukan masjid- di Iran dicam bukan pada menaranya -macam di Mesir- tapi pada fakadnya yang dibina dengan bentuk iwan dan ada muqarnas yang ditempek dengan jubin biru. Susah benar kami nak mencari surau tapi itu biarlah dicerita di tempat lain.

Muqarnas.

Masjid ini pun dibina tertutup begini kerana tujuannya iaitu menjadi tempat sembahyang khas untuk istri-istri dan anak-anak raja. Konon mengikut royat 0rang, dahulu ada terowong bawah tanah yang menyambung masjid ini dengan Istana Ali Qapu untuk laluan istri-istri Shah supaya tak kelihatan dek orang kebanyakan.

Apa pun yang paling aku suka tentu kubahnya. Pilihan warna lembut nyata menenangkan, berbeza dengan warna kubah masjid lain di Iran yang berwarna biru garang dan ini sesuai dengan fungsinya sebagai tempat sembahyang kaum perempuan.

Rumah zaman hari tu, biasanya akan ada lubang di celah papan lantai untuk kencing. Biasanya jugak untuk budak-budak saja. Orang tua boleh kencing di luar. Sebab rumah zaman hari tu jambannya biasanya di luar. Budak-budak takut nak turun.

Orang zaman hari tu lebih Islamik dalam senibinanya. Jamban tempat kotor, rumah setan pulak tu diletakan jauh-jauh. Jarang-jarang kalau di dalam pun diasingkan dengan bilik mandi. Sebab orang zaman hari tu tau, bilik mandi tu tempat turunnya rahmat. Fakta ni selalu dilupakan atau tak diketahui langsung orang zaman sekarang yang bilik airnya terlalu mengikut reka bentuk barat. Jamban dan bilik mandi disekalikan.

Rumah tok ayah aku, bukan setakat ada lubang budak-budak kencing. Dekat bilik tidur lama, lantai bawah katil, boleh dicabut dua tiga keping papan. Lubang untuk escape kalau jadi apa-apa.

Test Vehicle Battery Level Feature

Although use of your vehicle's cigarette lighter adapter/12-volt DC power outlet to provide power to handheld and/or in-vehicle devices is convenient, it is important to realize that in doing so you are potentially using power that your vehicle battery needs to operate its electrical systems properly. This includes starting your motor. For this reason DC powering/charging is best done while the engine is running, allowing your battery to recharge itself. Charging can be done while the engine is off, but you risk depleting your battery if this is not done carefully. This is where the Wagan EL2537-5's vehicle battery test level functionality comes in. Consisting of a prominent series of LED lights at the top of the unit, it is designed to keep you aware of the affect your DC power charging is having on your vehicle battery. To test the current state of your battery capacity, turn off the engine for ten minutes and check the unit's LEDs. (Socket may not be live with ignition off). The EL2537-5 also allows you to monitor the status of your battery while you are charging devices via DC power outlet.* In either case LED system has a light for each of the following statuses: Low, 12V, Mid and High.

• 4 lights = good battery
• 3 lights = normal battery
• 2 lights = weak battery (possible fault in charging system)
• 1 light = battery needs charging (possible fault in charging system)
• No lights = No capacity, replace battery (voltage < 3V) and check your charging system

As a precaution, remove the adapter from your vehicle's 12-volt outlet when not in use. (Some vehicles still provide power to the socket even when the vehicle's power is turned off.)

Zaman tok-tok ayah kita dulu, sudah lazim anak-anak jantan tidak tidur di rumah. Semua tidur di surau. Kalau tok ayah aku, ikut mama cerita, sampai tengah-tengah malam borak-borak, hisap rokok dengan kawan-kawan dekat serambi langsung tidur di situ saja.

Ini merungkaikan misteri rumah lama Melayu yang biasanya hanya ada satu atau dua bilik saja pada rumah ibu walaupun mungkin anak-anak jantan tidur di ruang tamu sahaja.

Kalau orang jantan tidur di masjid itu perkara biasa. Harus dalam agama. Cuma sesetengah masjid melarang. Tak boleh salahkan orang masjid sebab takut kecurian tambah-tambah akhir zaman sekarang. Tapi susah juga kalau masjid berkunci untuk musafir lalu. Mujur masjid-masjid kita di tanah air ada anjung di keliling yang boleh juga para musafir menumpang teduh mengering peluh.

Kata Maulana Asri yang cuba mempopularkan mazhab Bukhari, bukan setakat orang jantan, kaum wanita pun boleh tidur di dalam masjid hatta ketika mari cemar pun. Tapi mestilah dijaga kotorannya agar tak tumpah ke lantai. Sebab ada hadith yang mengisahkan seorang hamba perempuan yang tinggal lama di Masjid Nabi.

Dalam mazhab Syafei, kaum wanita yang mari kotor boleh masuk ke masjid hanya sebagai laluan sahaja, antara dalil yang dipakai ialah ayat,

"O ye who believe! Draw not near unto prayer when ye are drunken, till ye know that which ye utter, nor when ye are polluted, save when journeying upon the road, till ye have bathed. And if ye be ill, or on a journey, or one of you cometh from the closet, or ye have touched women, and ye find not water, then go to high clean soil and rub your faces and your hands (therewith). Lo! Allah is Benign, Forgiving."

Tetapi ahli hadith mazhab Bukhari membuat hujah bahawa kalimah "عابرى سبيل" di dalam ayat bukan bermaksud laluan tetapi bermaksud orang yang bermusafir. Saya tidak cerat mana hujahnya tapi pada kalimah itulah. Allahu a'lam, tuan-tuan boleh tanya pada pandai-pandai agama di sekitar tuan atau klik di sini.

Apa yang menarik yang aku nak sangat tekan di sini ialah dalam perbincangan, didatangkan beberapa hadith yang melarang lelaki berjunub atau wanita berhaidh daripada memasuki masjid. Dalam hadith itu Nabi diriwayatkan memekik dengan setinggi-tinggi suara ketika melarang. Lamun, hadith ini lemah

Kebanyakan hadith-hadith yang menggambarkan Nabi dengan kasar dan melampau adalah lemah dan tidak boleh menjadi hujah. Kesimpulannya, bila-bila jika tuan-tuan terjumpa orang-orang yang mendakwa membela sunnah tapi kelakunya melampau nampak benor awal-awal lagi mereka tidak sunnah.

Pun begitu, Maulana Asri tidak menolak mentah-mentah hadith dhaif. Beliau masih menerimanya sekiranya sebagai menggalakkan amalan dan sebagai peringatan daripada melakukan maksiat.

Khutbah raya Masjid Hidayah masih berkisar tentang kekalahan Mesir 1-0 menentang Algeria dalam perlawanan kelayakan Piala Dunia yang penuh kontroversi. Khatib menyebut walaupun Algeria menang dan Mesir kalah ia tetap tidak mengubah keadaan pembangunan insan kedua-dua negara. Khatib juga berkhutbah bahawa bola sepak tidak memberi impak pun dalam membangunan ummah.

Khatib menyeru bahawa jika bola sepak bakal menyebabkan persengketaan antara saudara muslimin lebih baik kita tinggalkan bola sepak jangan main lagi selain menyeru bahawa ukhuwwah Islamiyyah lebih penting dari segalanya (bola sepak).

Tahun ini solat di luar masjid kerana keluar lewat walaupun masjid sejengkal. Terpaksa menahan sejuk kerana musim sejuk (yang betul-betul sejuk) sudah bermula secara rasmi dengan turunnya hujan pada subuh raya yang diiringi guruh. Guruh yang menjadi fenomena jarang di sini membuatkan aku yang terlalu banyak menonton siri Lost terfikir apakah ada kapal terbang nak terhempas? Khabarnya ada juga makcik jiran yang terjerit takut atau terkejut lantaran jarangnya guruh.

Hari Raya Haji bererti sudah setahun berlalu persinggahan aku dan Tan di Yunani kerana kami beraya di atas kapal laut tahun kelmarin. Juga diingati ulangtahun pertama pembunuhan seorang remaja di tangan polis di kota Athens yang dihiasi lontaran bom petrol. Jadi menurut perkiraan kota Athens setiap tahun akan mengingati persinggahan kami ke situ.

Makan rendang dan kuah kacang di rumah Mede dan Iqbal yang masih rajin memasak walaupun dalam peperiksaan.
